Dashboard
Understand financial status cards, IZ Assist, Money Timeline, Account Cash, and the collapsible Accounts, Budget Overview, and activity stack.
The Dashboard is a current-state summary of your plan. It combines budget status, deterministic cash forecasts, account context, and recent activity without changing financial data. For a beginner walkthrough of building that plan, see how to budget.
Financial status
The header shows Ready to Budget with account chips for unassigned money and the next paycheck. The main workspace combines forecast views and the Budget. The supporting column contains Accounts and an action card, plus Needs Attention, Upcoming, and recent activity. These views share the same underlying financial state.
IZ Assist
IZ Assist is a shortcuts panel with Home, Fund, + Txn, Bills, and Attention tabs. Home offers actions such as funding a category, moving category money, and paying a bill. Fund uses the shared Assign money flow; + Txn uses the transaction form. You review and confirm financial changes.
Ordinary desktop bill payments started here stay inline in IZ Assist. Card-payment actions and links such as Open Schedule or a month review can take you to the corresponding Dashboard or Planning Hub view. Actions started from the Dashboard use its right-column action card, with a side sheet when space is narrower.
Money Timeline
Money Timeline shows a whole-plan cash forecast, including current cash, expected income, obligations, scheduled activity, and eligible flexible-spending estimates. It highlights the lowest projected point and ending cash.
Account Cash
Account Cash forecasts balances by account. It is different from Category Available: Category Available is money reserved for a category and backed by accounts; an account balance describes where the money is held.
Budget and activity
Use the Budget workspace to inspect category groups, Planned, Spent, Available, and account backing for the selected month. Selecting a category opens its detail view. Assign money, Pay, and card-payment actions use the supporting action card on a wide screen and a side sheet on narrower screens.
Accounts, attention and upcoming views, and recent activity provide supporting context. Their controls let you change views or collapse supported cards. Add Account remains with Accounts. Assigning category money records a budget decision; it does not send a payment or move money at your bank.
Mobile navigation
On mobile and installed PWA layouts, primary navigation is Dashboard, Budget, Add, Price Book, and More. Add offers Add transaction, Scan receipt, Quick Capture, Transfer money, and Add income. On desktop, the primary links are Dashboard, Account Cash, Transactions, and Reports. Use Menu for Planning Hub, Notes, Price Book, Calculator, Accounts, Budgets & Storage, appearance and weather settings, and App Info.
