A real Local option
Keep your budget local when you want to
InfinitelyZero gives you a Local option so your budget does not have to live in the cloud. Build, manage, and review your financial plan locally, with Cloud available when supported cross-device access fits your needs.
Local access requires sign-in and a Lifetime License or active trial. Optional online features may still require internet access.

Local in plain language
Your budget can live on your device
Local keeps each budget's financial state encrypted at rest in on-device application storage for the browser profile or supported native installation you are using. It is the same core budgeting product—not a stripped-down viewer. Local environments remain independent and do not become Cloud copies simply because you sign in.
Browser storage can be lost if you clear it, and another browser or device will not automatically show the same Local budget. Regular backups matter.
Two supported storage modes
Choose Local or Cloud
Choose based on how you want to work. Neither storage mode requires a bank connection, and neither is presented as universally better.
Where the budget lives
- Local
- On-device application storage for that browser profile or native app installation
- Cloud
- InfinitelyZero's hosted service
Account and access
- Local
- Sign-in plus a Lifetime License or active trial
- Cloud
- Sign-in plus applicable Cloud access or active trial
Cross-device access
- Local
- No automatic sync; each Local environment is independent
- Cloud
- Sync between devices coming later
Backup behavior
- Local
- You create and store encrypted .izbackup snapshots
- Cloud
- Hosted persistence; export and restore tools remain available
Core budgeting
- Local
- The same core accounts, transactions, categories, bills, income, and planning experience
- Cloud
- The same core budgeting experience
Bank connection
- Local
- Not required
- Cloud
- Not required
Switching modes changes the active source; it does not copy, merge, overwrite, or delete a budget. Each deliberate Copy to Local or Copy to Cloud action creates an independent copy; those copies do not automatically stay synchronized.
Full core workflow
A full budgeting experience in Local mode
Keep the core plan local while using the budgeting views that help you understand where money needs to go and when.
Accounts and transactions
Create accounts, enter starting balances, and record or review the transactions that shape your plan.
Categories, bills, and income
Organize categories, schedule bills, and add expected income without turning Local into a reduced budgeting product.
Paychecks and Cash Flow
Plan between paydays and review Expected Everyday Spending, Account Cash, and Money Timeline projections.
Price Book and Shopping Lists
Keep personal price observations and build Shopping Lists. Product lookup is an optional online service.
Receipt workflows
Review receipts and item details where supported. Provider-backed extraction requires an online service even when the budget is Local.
Backup and restore
Export encrypted .izbackup snapshots, store them where you choose, and restore them through the supported workflow.

Local budgeting without required bank syncing
Local mode does not depend on connecting a bank account. Add the balances and activity you choose, and use supported file imports when helpful. That is separate from where the budget is stored.
Explore the no-bank-connection workflowLocal does not have to mean unprotected
Local financial state is encrypted at rest. Create encrypted .izbackup snapshots and keep them in a location you control. There is no automatic Local sync or backup, and recovery material that unlocks existing data is not a replacement for a backup.
An important distinction
Local storage and online features are different choices
Choosing Local means the budget's persistence stays in that on-device environment. It does not mean every feature works offline forever. Licensing checks and optional services—including receipt extraction, product lookup, and weather—may use the internet and send the limited information needed for that task.
Hosted Cloud storage is available now, while Sync between devices is coming later. Using an optional online tool does not automatically turn a Local budget into a Cloud budget.
Why choose a local budget?
- You prefer keeping the primary budget in one on-device environment.
- You do not need automatic access across devices.
- You want a deliberate copy and backup workflow.
- You want a budgeting app that does not require Cloud storage.
When Cloud may fit better
- You prefer hosted persistence to a device-specific Local environment.
- You want InfinitelyZero-hosted Cloud storage now.
- You understand Sync between devices is coming later.
- The applicable Cloud access fits your preferred workflow.
Local on Windows
Keep a budget on your Windows installation
The Windows app supports Local budgets in encrypted application storage on that installation, alongside the same core planning experience.

Local budgeting app FAQ
What is a local budgeting app?
A local budgeting app can keep its primary budget data in application storage on the device instead of requiring the budget to be hosted in the cloud. In InfinitelyZero, Local is a supported storage mode for the full core budgeting experience.
Can I use InfinitelyZero without Cloud?
Yes. Choose Local to keep a budget in on-device application storage for that browser profile or supported native installation. Local access requires a Lifetime License or active trial.
Where is my budget stored in Local mode?
Its financial state is encrypted at rest in InfinitelyZero's on-device application storage. In a browser it is tied to that browser profile; in a native app it is tied to that app installation. It is not exposed as a normal editable file.
Can I back up a Local budget?
Yes. InfinitelyZero can export encrypted .izbackup snapshots that you store where you choose and restore through the app. Backups are manual, so create them regularly. A recovery key can unlock existing encrypted data, but it is not a backup.
Can I use Local mode on Windows?
Yes. The Windows app can keep each Local budget in encrypted application storage on that Windows installation. Export backups if you need recovery or intend to move the budget to another PC.
