Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 23, 2026

1. Introduction

InfinitelyZero is a personal budgeting application designed to help individuals and households organize and plan their financial information. This Privacy Policy describes what information InfinitelyZero collects, why it is used, and how it is protected.

By using InfinitelyZero, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you have questions, contact us at support@infinitelyzero.com.

2. Information You Provide

When you use InfinitelyZero, you may provide:

  • Email address — used to create and access a Cloud account, and for account communications.
  • Authentication information — your password is managed through our authentication provider (Supabase) and is not stored in plain text by InfinitelyZero.
  • Support messages and feedback — information you send when contacting support at support@infinitelyzero.com.
  • Budgeting information — budget categories, transactions, account records, and other financial planning data you enter into Cloud-enabled features.
  • Purchase, subscription, and license records — records associated with your purchase or subscription, including license status.
  • Price and product information — personal Price Book records, optional Community price reports, product/UPC details, shopping-area information, watch items, and shopping lists.
  • Optional receipt-provider task data — receipt images or extracted receipt facts submitted when you choose receipt scanning.

InfinitelyZero does not store your complete payment card numbers. Payment processing is handled by Paddle (see Section 3).

3. Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Paddle. When you make a purchase or manage a subscription, your payment information is submitted directly to Paddle and is governed by Paddle's Privacy Policy. InfinitelyZero does not receive or store your complete card numbers.

InfinitelyZero may receive payment-related records from Paddle, including:

  • Customer identifier
  • Payment status
  • Product purchased
  • Subscription status
  • Transaction reference
  • Billing email address

These records are used to issue and manage your license and to provide purchase-related support.

4. Local Edition

Local Edition stores each budget's financial state encrypted on your device using browser storage technologies such as IndexedDB. This data lives in your browser and on your device only — it is not automatically uploaded to InfinitelyZero's servers or Cloud services unless you explicitly enable a Cloud feature that does so.

Because Local Edition data is stored on your device, it may be removed or become inaccessible if you:

  • Clear your browser data or site storage
  • Change or lose your device
  • Uninstall or reinstall the application
  • Experience browser or device failure

We strongly encourage you to use the available backup and export features to protect your Local Edition data. InfinitelyZero cannot recover locally stored data that has been deleted from your device.

Local recovery material can unlock encrypted data that still exists; it is not a copy of your budget. Encrypted backup files are separate data copies and use their own backup password.

Signing in does not by itself upload a Local budget or create an InfinitelyZero Cloud copy. Optional online features may still transmit the limited information needed for the specific feature you choose.

Desktop backup files are saved to a folder you select. You may choose a folder managed by OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, a NAS, or another provider, but InfinitelyZero does not operate those services or their synchronization.

5. Cloud Features

Cloud Edition and Cloud-enabled features store your account and budgeting data using InfinitelyZero's service providers. Supabase is our current provider for authentication and Cloud database storage. Data transmitted to and from Cloud features travels over encrypted connections (TLS).

Cloud data is subject to Supabase's infrastructure security practices. If you use Cloud features, your budget data is stored on Supabase's servers in accordance with their terms and security standards.

6. Information Collected Automatically

InfinitelyZero does not use advertising trackers, marketing profiling, device fingerprinting, or location tracking. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

When you use Cloud features or visit the InfinitelyZero website, certain information may be collected automatically, including:

  • Authentication session tokens — used to keep you securely signed in across sessions.
  • Standard server and security logs — such as connection timestamps and IP addresses, collected by hosting and infrastructure providers (including Cloudflare) for security, abuse prevention, and service reliability.

6.1. Optional Receipt, Product, and Community Services

Optional receipt scanning uses a third-party AI/provider service and requires an internet connection. We aim to send only the receipt image and task-specific context needed to extract visible facts. Review remains required before a proposed action changes budget data.

Receipt images are sent for processing only when you choose a provider-backed scan and are not intended for long-term storage by InfinitelyZero. Parsed transaction or Price Book data you explicitly apply may be stored according to your selected Local or Cloud mode. Provider-side handling is governed by the applicable provider’s terms and privacy practices; we do not make promises here about a provider’s retention or training practices.

Personal Price Book records are not automatically published to Community Prices. Community reporting is a separate action. Community services may store submitted product, price, store, scope, area, confirmation, and flagging information. Reporter identity is not publicly displayed through the normal Community interface, although account-linked records may be retained internally to operate and protect the service.

UPC/product and ZIP or shopping-area lookups may send the identifier or location query needed to a lookup service. These lookups are separate from private Cloud budget storage.

7. How We Use Information

Information collected is used only to operate and improve InfinitelyZero. Specific purposes include:

  • Providing the application and its features
  • Authenticating your account and maintaining secure sessions
  • Storing and syncing your Cloud data on your behalf
  • Processing purchases, subscriptions, and managing license records
  • Issuing and validating product licenses
  • Responding to support requests
  • Preventing abuse and fraud
  • Maintaining the security of the service
  • Meeting applicable legal obligations

8. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers only as necessary to operate InfinitelyZero. Current providers include:

  • Paddle — for payment processing and subscription management
  • Supabase — for authentication and Cloud data storage
  • Cloudflare — for hosting and content delivery
  • Email delivery providers used for account and support communications
  • AI/provider services — for optional receipt extraction tasks
  • Product, UPC, and location lookup services — for optional product and shopping-area lookups

These providers are permitted to use your information only to perform the specific services they carry out for InfinitelyZero, and are subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations.

We may also disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of InfinitelyZero, its users, or others.

9. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the service and fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including while your account, license, or subscription remains active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and address security concerns.

Certain payment, licensing, fraud-prevention, and transaction records may need to be retained after your account is deleted to satisfy applicable legal, financial, or regulatory requirements.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss. These include encrypted connections for data in transit and industry-standard security practices by our service providers.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Account and Data Deletion

To request deletion of your Cloud account and associated data, contact us at support@infinitelyzero.com.

  • Cloud account data — we can delete your Cloud account and associated budgeting data upon verified request.
  • Local browser data — data stored in Local Edition can be removed by clearing your browser's site data or uninstalling the application from your device. InfinitelyZero has no access to locally stored data.
  • Retained records — some payment, licensing, fraud-prevention, and transaction records may need to be retained even after account deletion to comply with legal obligations.

12. Children's Privacy

InfinitelyZero is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe we have received information from a child under 13, please contact us at support@infinitelyzero.com and we will take steps to delete that information.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change.

We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of InfinitelyZero after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
